Abstract

This article analyzes the topics of house, weathering and hospitality in Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, a fundamental triad in this writer’s work. This author is approached as a creator of percepts, from the perspective of Deleuze and Guattari. A journey through his novel is made and the function of the characters’ becoming in relation to the dwelling, whether it is the house or the outdoors, and the value of hospitality in the development of the plot is rescued.
