Abstract

Objective: Develop a program to promote eating habits and healthy lifestyles for staff in the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica. Materials and Methods: The 12-week program was called "My Health Care" and included four components: providing healthy snacks, nutrition education for staff, challenge "my Health Care" and physical activity. Results: Increased consumption of fruits, vegetables, water and knowledge on issues related to nutrition. Discussion: Many of the activities and methodologies developed can be adapted to other work settings and thus eating habits and promote healthy lifestyles in the adult population.
