Focus and Scope
Since 1977, the fundamental objective of the Agronomy Journal has been spreading the Costa Rican agricultural research held in Costa Rica or interest in this country. The journal includes the following types of projects: research articles, technical notes, these are advances, short communications, or results of ongoing investigations parallel, analysis and commentary on relevant topics, usually applied to specialists, comprehensive literature reviews on a specific topic, book reviews, comments and opinions on relevant activities in the agricultural field, updates on specific agricultural activities.
Peer Review Process
The Journal assumes that the work submitted for possible publication, are original works that actually co-authors contributed to its realization, agree to the publication and have not submitted to other journals or been published previously. Once the Editorial Board evaluates the scientific or technical merit of the work, these are sent to three experts who suggest the necessary changes so that the work is accepted and published or indicate the reasons why it should be rejected.
Its abbreviated title is Agron. Costarricense, and it should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, references and bibliographic strips.
