Abstract

SOSA, Eugenio. Honduras: Ruptura del pacto de alternabilidad, elecciones, protestas ciudadanas y sus consecuencias. Anuario de Estudios Centroamericanos [online]. 2019, vol.45, pp.573-595. ISSN 2215-4175.  http://dx.doi.org/10.15517/aeca.v45i0.40701.

This essay deals with the construction of the rupture of the constitutional pact of alternation in the presidency of the republic, as a result of a new political dynamic that emerged after the coup of June 28, 2009, an open political conjuncture, which has led to a new political crisis and an electoral coup in the context of the elections of November 26, 2017. Citizen mobilizations are also addressed in rejection of the fraudulent re-election of President Juan Orlando Hernández, and the complications he has almost two years after his reelection.

Keywords : Constitutional pact; alternation; coup; electoral coup and governance crisis.
