Abstract

GARCIA-MARTINEZ, José Antonio; RUIZ-CHAVES, Warner; CHEN-QUESADA, Evelyn  and  LEON-CARVAJAL, Arantxa. Inclusive policies and practices in educational centers: A study of their implementation and relationship from the perspective of administrators. Innovaciones Educativas [online]. 2023, vol.25, n.39, pp.114-129. ISSN 2215-4132.  http://dx.doi.org/10.22458/ie.v25i39.4662.

In the current context, educational centers are expected to be spaces of collaborative organization that promote inclusive education, implementing initiatives and strategies derived from educational management. In this regard, the objective of this study is to analyze the establishment of inclusive policies and practices in Costa Rican educational centers from the perspective of the administrators. The research was carried out using a quantitative methodology, with an ex post facto and crosssectional design. In addition, data collection was carried out with an online questionnaire applied to a simple probability sample of 146 administrators. The results show that the management implemented in the educational centers considers to a certain extent the application of inclusive policies and practices. In addition, there is a strong and positive correlation between inclusive education policies and the curricular and administrative practices implemented. In other words, the greater the presence of inclusive policies, the better the curricular and administrative practices.
