Abstract

GUIAMET, Javier. Literature and politics in the socialist militancy of Enrique Anderson Imbert. Humanidades [online]. 2023, vol.13, n.1, pp.35-49. ISSN 2215-3934.  http://dx.doi.org/10.15517/h.v13i1.53148.

This article analyzes Enrique Anderson Imbert's interventions in the literary page of the socialist newspaper La Vanguardia during the 1930s. In a context characterized by an increased politicization of literature and intellectuals related to the broad spectrum of the left in Argentina, Anderson Imbert constituted a voice that was both singular and representative of the problems and concerns linked to the attempt to combine literature and politics within an ideological program.

Keywords : Argentina; literature; politics; socialism.
