The main purpose of this article is to present a synthesis of the main theoretical discussions regarding the presence of thekitschobject in mass culture and cultural industry and its place within camp aesthetics. First, it will include an interpretation of the theoretical principles that have guided the discussions. Second, it will consider the similitudes and differences between Kitsch and camp. Finally, a third objective will be to discuss the relevance of Campaesthetics in contemporary mass culture.
