Abstract

JARA-SAMANIEGO, Janneth; GALLEGOS, Janneth  and  CRUZ, Alejandro. Elaboration and characterization of bioles from organic waste. InterSedes [online]. 2021, vol.22, n.45, pp.189-203. ISSN 2215-2458.  http://dx.doi.org/10.15517/isucr.v22i45.46013.

Bioles were obtained through the anaerobic co-digestion of plant residues and excreta from cattle. A completely randomized design was applied with 3 repetitions per treatment. To each of 3 base mixtures of organic matter were inoculated: lactic acid bacteria in mixed culture (T1), raw milk (T2) and whey (T3). The substrates were prepared by hand according to empirical formulas and fermented in a 6-liter artisanal biodigester. The bioles showed functional properties compatible with their use in organic farming.
