Abstract

RODRIGUEZ SANCHO, Javier. Democracy and Uncertainty in Latin America. InterSedes [online]. 2016, vol.17, n.35, pp.231-256. ISSN 2215-2458.  http://dx.doi.org/10.15517/isucr.v17i35.25568.

This historical interpretation identifies the political changes that operated during the second half of the Twentieth Century in Latin America and the Caribbean. It also exposes aspects of dictatorships in Argentina, Chile and Guatemala. Likewise, it attempts to determine the relationships established among four polemic concepts, namely, history, memory, justice and forgetfulness in democratic processes and national reconciliation with its successes and limits.

Keywords : Cold Ward; history; dictatorship; memory and justice..
