Abstract

MONGE-PEREZ, José Eladio. Evaluation of 60 tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) Genotypes grown under greenhouse conditions in Costa Rica. InterSedes [online]. 2015, vol.16, n.33, pp.83-122. ISSN 2215-2458.

Sixty tomato genotypes grown under greenhouse conditions were evaluated, both at qualitative (9 variables) and quantitative (11 variables) levels. Data show a wide variability between genotypes, and this information is useful for growers to choose the best variety for their particular market purposes. Some 'cherry' and 'grape' tomato genotypes show high soluble solid contents; these varieties could be good choices for consumers that demand high quality tomatoes.

Keywords : Lycopersicon esculentum; quality; yield; Brix; greenhouse.
