Abstract

FALLAS -NAVARRO, Stephanie. Open learning context. InterSedes [online]. 2014, vol.15, n.31, pp.6-19. ISSN 2215-2458.

In this paper, the e-learning experience is presented from the student point of view. There is an emphasis on collaborative learning fostered by ICT, where the use of technology implies pedagogical changes both for students and for professors. For the author as a student, virtual education lead to develop new competencies such as broaden my global understanding through interaction with teachers and fellow students from other cultures; organize learning activities; assume a responsible commitment both with my own and with my fellow students learning. Two learning environments were required for this particular learning experience: one the e-learning and second the m-learning. Both required my active participation guided by my professors who facilitated communication with others involved in the process; gave answers on time and guided individual and social construction of knowledge.

Keywords : e-learning; m-learning; collaborative learning; collaborative virtual learning.
