Abstract

VARGAS- BARRANTES, Élida. Sexuality as a human expression evaluated  in young people and teachers in a public school of the canton of Alajuela, Costa Rica. InterSedes [online]. 2014, vol.15, n.30, pp.22-54. ISSN 2215-2458.

The capacity of sexual education and pedagogic mediation, it is possible to evaluate from the knowledge and beliefs that teachers and students demonstrate in the topic.  Objective: To evaluate the knowledge in four components of the human sexuality: emotional links, sexual papers, reproduction humanizes and infections of sexual transmission and sexual response and eroticism in young women and teachers of ninth from a public college of Alajuela's canton, in November, 2011. Method: The compilation of information was done by means of questionnaire by 47 articles. There was selected a sample of 33 students and 12 teachers. The religious belief was evaluated only in students. The analysis of the quantitative information realized by means of the program SPSS 20.0 and Excel. Results: Neither in 13 reagents (28 % of the answers) nor students nor teachers they managed to succeed in finding the correct answers. Likewise, the teachers overcame the students in 24 reagents (51 %), though cases were overcome by these in 8 (17 %). The students believers and medical instructors showed better knowledge that who they are considered to be not believers and / or not medical instructors. Conclusions: little less the third part of the members of both groups they show not to know basic aspects in the evaluated topics, which is reflected in that educational they reach or overcome a minimal note of 7,0 in only 20 articles; whereas the students achieve it in only 14 reagents. It is necessary to restate the educational formation and to improve the pedagogic mediation with the intention of which children and young women receive an appropriate and pertinent education in the topic.
