In an increasingly uncertain world and in the face of new organizational challenges, the importance of strategic planning is vital as it serves as a catalyst for the future of current decisions within organizations. The essence of strategic planning consists of the systematic identification of opportunities and threats that may arise in the future, which, combined with other relevant data, provide the basis on which a company can make better decisions in the present to explore opportunities and avoid dangers. The added value of planning is to design a desired future by identifying the ways to reach it.
