Freemasonry is one of the recurring themes in the current mass culture, due to the halo of mystery and legend that has -traditionally- surrounded this entity. For this reason, this essay analyzes the treatment that the industry, has developed on the Brotherhood, and for this purpose, a television series; The Simpson has been selected. This production humorously portrays different behaviors of American society, among them, its sociability. In one of the chapters of this caricature, the protagonist, the worldwide popular Homer, joins a Masonic group in his hometown, Springfield, narrating his adventures in it. Thus, the present investigation will analyze the image and the message that this specific audiovisual product broadcasts on Masonic Lodges. Therefore, making an inductive case study, it is intended to describe what image is given of the Brotherhood in The Simpsons.
