: The development of engineering and arts are featured each in his own way; Historically, however, there have been barriers that have hindered communication between both areas. For this reason, the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Antioquia, through the Engineering Documentation Centre (CENDOI) is working on an integration between art and engineering, considering that are disciplines that can be supplemented to raise social, cultural and educational development in a globalized world that demands an integrated vision. This paper discusses the importance of cultural extension services offered by the CENDOI to the students and professors of the Faculty of Engineering, through projects such as: Vivarte, Language Week, program "Join the heritage, knowledge multiplies", themed photographic exhibitions on heritage, TheT Traveling Box, the radio programs "Living History" and "The Chest Sofia", contests "The artist engineer" and "Daily Photography", Carnival of the book, cycles of short videos and audios, campaigns awareness, among others. Furthermore, it is describe the agreements made in the context of cultural extension services, the limitations encountered in performing these services, and awards received by this work. It is concluded that the importance of such services is the humanization of the academic and scientific world, promoting dialogue between the disciplines to contribute to an integrated education of students of the Faculty.
