Abstract

RODRIGUEZ ARRIETA, José Daniel. The Simpsons and its political portrayal. Reflexiones [online]. 2015, vol.94, n.1, pp.109-121. ISSN 1659-2859.

The following notes reflect on the interpretation of politics as a concept as well as other political elements in the animated series The Simpsons, based on the pragmatic analysis of the discourse. The program is understood as a highly relevant production with particular characteristics based in humor and satire; and these elements are necessarily framed in the transcendence of the media by which the program is transmitted: television.

Keywords : The Simpsons; television; politics; animated series.
