The changes that the school system must face in coherence with the challenges of contemporary society make it necessary for teachers to reflect critically on pedagogical practices. This article presents the results of a study carried out on the development of Orientation programs in the province of Concepción - Chile from the perception of the students who carry out their pedagogical practice in educational centers. The general objective of this research is to know how pedagogy students perceive the development and implementation of orientation plans and programs in professional practice centers during the last year of academic training. The research is framed in a quantitative approach and consists of a descriptive study that analyzes four dimensions. For data collection, a Likert-type survey was used, which included an open-ended question. The instrument was applied to students of 12 careers of pedagogy, distributed in 98 professional practice centers, during the year 2017. The results obtained show that the best evaluated dimensions were knowledge and methodological strategies. However, there is a negative perception regarding the dimensions of counseling, training, and effectiveness of classroom orientation programs
