ALFAGEME-GONZALEZ, M. Begoña; MONTEAGUDO FERNANDEZ, José  and  MIRALLES MARTINEZ, Pedro. Conceptions of teachers of geography and history on the assessmentof learning. Rev. Actual. Investig. Educ [online]. 2016, vol.16, n.2, pp.246-268. ISSN 1409-4703.  http://dx.doi.org/10.15517/aie.v16i2.23560.

This article addresses the issue of learning assessment from the conceptions that teachers of Geography and History of Compulsory Secondary School (ESO) have about assessment. For this research, developed in the Region of Murcia (Spain), we have employed a questionnaire, which have been responded by 103 teachers, more than a quarter of all teachers of Geography and History of the Region of Murcia. The results indicate that for teachers, the purpose of assessment of student learning focuses on the objectives of the scholar institution or the high school in which they work and as a social service, serving the educational community and the students. In conclusion, and given some of the answers, we argue that it is necessary an improvement in training of teachers that allows implement in the classroom other methodological strategies and assessment tools that bring assessment into more line with recent legislative changes.
