Abstract

This paper was made with the goal of publicize the experience lived on the course Principles and strategies in open education for educational innovation, created by OportUnidad Project, and to asses the course itself and its materials as a possible option for teaching about this topic. The course took place online, during September and December in 2013. During the course and after, different assessment tools were used to gather information, from the participants as well as from the tutors, related to different elements of the course including design, methodology, resources used, amongst others. Thereby, there is a mixed approach of the topic, that considers all the users who answered the surveys, 36 in total. As a result of this experience, it was established the suitability of the materials made to transmit the use of Open Educational Resources, and the need for considering their existence in high education. To conclude, it was found both repeatable points and the need of improve them.
