Abstract

This essay aims to systematize different perspectives which appeared in referred scientific and technical literature to the role of the educational psychologist proposing a order model which synthesizes, difference and organizes the various relevant concepts that deal with the broad spectrum of actions definition and role of the educational psychologist in the school context. To achieve this purpose the concepts of the role of the educational psychologist were organized based on the perspective: paradigmatic, historical, academic and training, technical and political-educational reality. Finally a proposed ordering of these aspects towards structuring the role and actions to develop an educational unit is performed. This analysis suggests the need conclusion that the work of the psychologist has as point of origin demands the attention of and emerging needs of educational communities it serves, giving priority to do a systemic and complex view of the particular circumstances of each property.
