Abstract

This article present the results of an exploratory study that aims to find whether there is any relationship between school bullying and the geographical area where the school is located. The study was conducted with 34 different groups in thirteen different schools in urban and rural areas of the metropolitan area, where 1155 surveys were applied. Accounted the responses, it was found that there is a higher incidence of bullying in schools in areas whose environment is showing greater social risk than those where poverty rates, assaults and drug abuse are lower. In this article, the results obtained in the two schools that showed the highest incidence of harassment with the results obtained in the two schools that had the lowest percentage of bullying in the classroom were compared.
