Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia: A Case Report and Review of the Literature Arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia is characterized by atrophy, myocardial fibrofatty replacement and ventricular arrhythmias. The case of a 54-year- old woman with fatal cardiogenic shock and a pathological diagnosis of arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia is presented. The clinical characteristics, diagnosis and management of this potentially lethal, and still poorly understood, cardiopathy are discussed.
