Abstract

FUENTES GARCIA, Ruth et al. The Siusex2, a Questionnaire to Evaluate Satisfaction from the Health System User´s Perspective. Rev. costarric. salud pública [online]. 2013, vol.22, n.2, pp.179-190. ISSN 1409-1429.

Objective: To introduce theSIUSEX2 instrument (Satisfaction, Dissatisfaction of Health Care users through their Expectations and Experiences), applied in 19 medical units in Mexican cities in 2012. Material y Methods: The instrument was built based on a logistic model used to determine the association of patients’ satisfaction with some characteristics of the users and the health care units. Association between expectations and experiences of the patients and the quality of the care was tested and concordance between pairs of expectations and experiences was assessed. Results: The analysis concerning expectations and experiences showed significant association for all except the one regarding family’s access to the hospital. (P = 0,779). Answers for pairs of expectations and experiences were not concordant. Conclusions: The instrument provided coherent and reliable information; and it is useful for the proposed objective.
