This article describes penile anatomy, physiology of erection, and the risk factors affecting erectile, as well as a guide to forensic medical approach that includes a complete legal medical history and physical examination directed to guide the coroner or resident in the elaboration and conclusion of the skills of determination of erectile ability of an individual by the judicial authority in the context of sexua.l offenses
