Bone transport refers to moving a free segment of bone, in longitudinal direction, through the principles of tension-stress, allowing osteogenesis. This technique is an option for the treatment of extensive loss of bone substance, usually greater than 4 cm. The optimal rate of distraction is 1 mm / day. The main complications are: delayed consolidation, refracture of new bone, premature consolidation, axial deviation, and pin track infection
