Abstract

MELENDEZ-POLTRONIERI, Róger; CASTRO-BLANCO, Isabel  and  SANCHEZ-VARGAS, Harold. 2014 Digital Multimeter Interlaboratory Comparison. Tecnología en Marcha [online]. 2016, vol.29, n.3, pp.30-46. ISSN 0379-3982.  http://dx.doi.org/10.18845/tm.v29i3.2886.

[22]

Digital Multimeters are used for numerous applications and are among the most common devices calibrated by metrology laboratories. Their calibrations are typically carried out by secondary laboratories, as well as state or private laboratories. In small countries, the national metrology institute often accepts digital multimeters for calibration with the national standard.

[23]

This paper presents and describes the results of a multimeter comparison conducted in Costa Rica, from march 2014 until november 2014, by the Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad - Laboratorio Metrológico de Variables Eléctricas as a designated National Metrology Institute in Costa Rica for Electricity, Magnetism, Time and Frequency. The comparison involved ten participating laboratories and one digital multimeter (travelling standard).

Keywords : Digital multimeter; interlaboratory comparison; travel standard; calibration.
