CHANG, Sing-Hung and MONTVELISKY, Herman. Neuropatía femoral post-histerectomía abdominal: informe de 2 casos. Rev. costarric. cienc. méd [online]. 1997, vol.18, n.2, pp.53-56. ISSN 0253-2948.
Femoral neuropath following abdominal-pelvic surgery is due to the improper use of self-retaining retractores. Although complete recovery from the injury is the rule, the patient does undergo a disturbing period of physical disability. By understanding the anatomy and etiology and applying simple preventive measures, the physician can completly avoid this complication. We report 2 cases of femoral neuropathy after abdominal hysterectomy and include a brief review of the sudject.
