Medicina Legal de Costa Rica (ISSN 1409-0015) it is the semestral Publication of the Asociación Costarricense de Medicina Forense.  It publishes original works, articles of revision, fast communications, reports of cases, letters to the publisher, notes of the director, editorials and related subjects of medical, psychological interest, medical forense, social, psiquiatric physician, psiquiatric forense, of medical right, penal and labor right as well as of right of the victims.

Its abbreviated title is Med. leg. Costa Rica, and it should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, references and bibliographic strips.

The articles published in Medicina Legal de Costa Rica are indexed or summarized by:

• Literatura Latinoamericana en Ciencias de la Salud– LILACS

It is the official publication of the Asociación Costarricense de Medicina Forense and of the Departamento de Medicina Legal, Organismo de Investigación Judicial, Poder Judicial, Costa Rica on topics of relevance to the medical examiner, legal and psychological. Is distributed free among their members.

The opinions expressed in signed papers are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the editor, the Asociación Costarricense de Medicina Forense and of the Departamento de Medicina Legal. For academic purposes, authorizing the use of citations, for different purposes, the partial or total requires the written permission of the publisher.
