Rural Perspectives, New Era aims to serve as an academic and social platform for critical, inter- and transdisciplinary reflection on the dynamics that shape the various manifestations of rural life today. It seeks to promote original research addressing agri-food systems, agroecology, territorial rural development, food security and sovereignty, socio-environmental transformations, and the processes of inclusion, participation, and recognition of rural actors, in order to contribute to scientific knowledge and the development of public policies that foster just, sustainable, and democratic rural development. The journal aspires to facilitate dialogue between academic and community actors, disseminating free and accessible knowledge (open access) to promote social transformation from rural realities.
