This article analyzes equality, representation, and parity in the Costa Rican diplomatic function. It examines gender representation and parity during the Solís Rivera (2014-2018) and Alvarado Quesada (2018-2022) administrations, identifying the progress achieved and the pending challenges in this area from a gender perspective. It also seeks to provide inputs for future reflections on formulating public policies for equality with a gender approach in international affairs.
