SOLIS CHAVERRI, Brandon e CAMACHO CHEVEZ, Sirney. The Podcast as a Teaching Strategy in Distance Education: An Experience in the Office Management Program. Innovaciones Educativas [online]. 2025, vol.27, n.43, pp.236-249. ISSN 2215-4132. http://dx.doi.org/10.22458/ie.v27i43.5683.
This experience-based systematization focuses on a teaching strategy implemented in the course: Human Relations I, from the Office Management degree program during the second academic term of 2024. A total of 55 students enrolled in the course and, as part of their learning activities, they created a podcast centered on the topic of motivation in human behavior. The aim of this article is to analyze the use of podcasts as a pedagogical mediation tool in teaching and learning processes within the distance education modality. Using a qualitative approach, the study examined students’ perceptions of their experience recording a podcast as a didactic activity. Among the main findings, it was observed that, in distance education, it is essential to implement pedagogical activities that foster motivation, creativity, student autonomy, and active learning. The benefits reported include learning how to record a podcast, overcoming challenges, discovering new technological tools, and strengthening oral communication skills.
The conclusions highlight the crucial role of the teacher in designing didactic activities that support comprehensive learning, especially in programs with a strong technological component such as office management. Comprehensive learning enhances the quality of the educational process and prepares students to face the challenges of their professional environment, promoting the development of emotional, cognitive, and social skills.
