We present the case of a 34-year-old female patient diagnosed with aortic stenosis due to bivalve aorta since childhood. She consulted the emergency department for chest pain, dyspnea and near-syncope. She was admitted to the cardiology department; a new echocardiogram confirmed Doppler velocities compatible with severe stenosis, but described a lesion not previously assessed, a subaortic membrane, confirming a new diagnosis of subvalvular stenosis, a rare entity with a surgical management different from that of valvular stenosis.
