PEREZ-LOPEZ, Esteban. Quality control of water for human consumption in the region of the West in Costa Rica. Tecnología en Marcha [online]. 2016, vol.29, n.3, pp.3-14. ISSN 0379-3982. http://dx.doi.org/10.18845/tm.v29i3.2884.
Different parameters of water quality for human consumption, such as electrical conductivity, density, pH, total hardness, calcium hardness, total alkalinity, chloride, magnesium and calcium by atomic absorption were evaluated in samples of drinking water in the region of Los Angeles Greece, as well as water samples from the San Ramon, Naranjo, Poas, Zarcero and San Carlos Esparza, in order to compare the results for the quality parameters evaluated between different samples. For the study very favorable results were obtained for the different samples analyzed waters, and that comply with the current regulations in the country, as assessed in terms of parameters of water quality are concerned, but it is noteworthy that in two very specific cases Test total alkalinity of the water samples from areas of San Ramon and San Carlos, the test results exceed the recommendation in the parameter, according to the literature, which is not a criterion regulated by the existing regulations in the country, but it it is expected that the irregularity has been due to a specific and random causes, has no impact on human health of the villages.
