Acta Médica Costarricense  (ISSN 0001-6002) it is the trimestral Publication of the Colegio de Médicos y Cirujanos de Costa Rica. It publishes original works, articles of revision, fast communications, short communications, articles of opinion and reports of cases, publishing letters to the publisher as well as related to any subject of the medicine and the biosciences. 

Its abbreviated title is Acta med. costarric., and it should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, references and bibliographic strips.

The articles published in Acta Médica Costarricense are indexed or summarized by:

Colegio de Médicos y Cirujanos de Costa Rica.  The articles published in Acta Médica Costarricense are unpublished.
