La avena (Avena sativa L.) tiene su origen en Asia Central y es un cultivo importante en México, donde se tienen rendimientos altos de grano, además de ser una alternativa para productores que siembran en temporal. Objetivo. Evaluar el efecto de la fertilización química y orgánica en el rendimiento y calidad fisiológica de la semilla de tres variedades de avena, durante dos ciclos agrícolas (años). Materiales y métodos. El experimento se estableció durante el ciclo otoño-invierno en el Tecnológico Nacional de México campus Roque, Guanajuato, México. Se establecieron dos fechas de siembra en 2015 y el 2016, considerados como factor A. Las variedades del experimento fueron Turquesa, Diamante y Chihuahua, asignados como factor B y cinco fertilizaciones a base de lombricomposta y nutrición química como factor C, sembradas en tres repeticiones. Se midieron variables de calidad fisiológica de la semilla y componentes de rendimiento de semilla. Las características se analizaron en un diseño bloques completos al azar con arreglo factorial y una prueba de comparación de medias de Tukey 0.05. Resultados. El efecto ambiental influyó en la calidad de semilla, caracteres agronómicos y de rendimiento de grano. En el ciclo 2016/17 se presentó un 14,41 % más de rendimiento de semilla, en relación con el ciclo 2015/16. Las tres variedades de avena mantuvieron un mismo patrón de comportamiento, estadísticamente igual para germinación, días a embuche (aparición del nudo floral en el tallo), días a floración, número de semillas por espiga, peso de 1000 semillas y rendimiento de semilla. El rendimiento de avena y otros caracteres de calidad fisiológica fueron similares con lombricomposta (6,38 t ha-1) y fertilización química (6,46 t ha-1). Conclusión. Se encontró una respuesta similar en el rendimiento, peso de 1000 semillas y calidad fisiológica de la semilla, con ambos tipos de fertilización.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Introduction. Oatmeal (Avena sativa L.) has its origin in Central Asia and is an important crop in Mexico, where there are high grain yields, besides as being an alternative for producers who sow in temporary. Objective. To evaluate the effect of chemical and organic fertilization on the yield and physiological quality of the seed of three oats varieties, during two agricultural cycles (years). Materials and methods. The experiment was established during the autumn-winter cycle at the Tecnologico Nacional de Mexico campus Roque, Guanajuato, Mexico. Two sowing dates were established in 2015 and 2016, considered as factor A. The varieties of the experiment were Turquoise, Diamond, and Chihuahua, assigned as factor B and five fertilizations based on vermicompost and chemical nutrition as factor C, sowed in three replications. Seed physiological quality variables and seed yield components were measured. Characteristics were analyzed in a randomized complete block design with factorial arrangement and a Tukey 0.05 mean comparison test. Results. The environmental effect influenced the seed quality, agronomic characteristics, and grain yield. In the 2016/17 cycle there was a 14.41 % increase in seed yield compared to the 2015/16 cycle. The three oats varieties maintained the same behavior pattern, statistically the same for germination, days to seedling (appearance of the flower knot on the stem), days to flowering, number of seeds per spike, weight of 1000 seeds and seed yield. Oat yield and other physiological quality characters were similar with vermicompost (6.38 t ha-1) and chemical fertilization (6.46 t ha-1). Conclusion.
