El objetivo del estudio fue mostrar que la repetitividad es un estadístico que está relacionado con la precisión experimental en el análisis de experimentos. Se utilizó la base de datos del proyecto de arroz del Instituto de Investigación Agropecuaria de Panamá. Se analizaron 379 experimentos individuales, agrupados en 41 ensayos, sembrados en las principales zonas arroceras de Panamá, entre los años 2000 a 2014. Se estimaron los componentes de la varianza mediante el análisis REML individual y combinado, se realizaron cálculos estadísticos como: el coeficiente de variación (CV), diferencia mínima significativa (DMS), repetitividad (H), rango, coeficiente de determinación (R2) y cociente DMS/rango. Para determinar los valores de repetitividad apropiados para incorporar localidades en análisis combinados y mejorar la precisión experimental, se realizó varias veces el análisis. Los análisis individuales y combinados mostraron una relación entre el DMS/rango vs repetitividad. Al descartar los sitios con H&lt;0, la precisión aumentó en 60%, con descartes de ensayos menores 0,20, 0,30, 0,40 y 0,50, los niveles de precisión fueron 38, 67, 56 y 50%, respectivamente. Se confirmó la conveniencia de incluir en el análisis combinado localidades con H&gt;0,20, y descartar aquellas con H menores. Hubo relación lineal entre el número de localidades y la repetitividad, un aumento de localidades y de la repetitividad, mejorando la precisión. La relación número de localidades vs. DMS/rango fue inversa, al aumentar las localidades disminuyó la proporción DMS/rango, incrementando la precisión experimental.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[AbstractRepeatability as experimental accuracy estimation on trials analysis. The aim of this study was to show that repeatability is statistical value related with the experimental precision in the analysis of experiments. A database of the rice project of the Agricultural Research Institute of Panama was used. 379 individual experiments were analyzed, grouped in 41 trials, planted in the main rice growing-areas in Panamá, between the years of 2000 and 2014. The variance components were calculated through the individual and combined REML analysis, statistical calculations were performed, like the variation coefficient (VC), minimum significant difference (MSD), repeatability (H), range, determination coefficient (R2) and the MSD/range ratio. To determine the appropriate repeatability values to incorporate the combined analysis and improve the experimental precision was done several times throughout the analysis. The individual and combined analysis showed a link between MSD/range ratio and repeatability. When discarding the sites with H&lt;0, the precision was raised by 60% with trial discards under 0,20, 0,30, 0,40 y 0,50, and the precision levels were 38, 67, 56 y 50%, respectively. A convenience in including sites with H&gt;0,20 was confirmed, and discarding those with lower H. There was a lineal link between the number of locations and repeatability, an increase in locations and repeatability, improving the precision. The link between number of locations and MSD/range was inverse, when raising the number of locations the proportion in MSD/range was lowered, increasing the experimental precision.]]></p></abstract>
