La experiencia con TAVI en este escenario es menos frecuente que en la etiología degenerativa. Se presenta el caso de un paciente masculino de 53 años en quien se documentó una doble lesión aórtica severa con FEVI reducida que cumplía criterios ecocardiográficos de valvulopatía unicúspide y por TAC se documentó que correspondía a enfermedad reumática de la válvula. Se realizó TAVI y en los días posteriores a la intervención se documentaron gradientes aumentados en relación con infraexpansión. Se hace además una breve revisión de los temas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Isolated rheumatic aortic valvopathy is an infrequent etiology of aortic stenosis and/or regurgitation. Experience with TAVR as treatment for this pathology is not as high as with degenerative disease. Here is presented a case of a 53-year-old male with double aortic lesion and reduced LVEF that reunited echocardiographic criteria for unicuspid aortic valve, which later was reclassified as isolated aortic rheumatic disease in CCT. A TAVR was performed and days later, an increased transvalvular gradient was documented secondary to prosthesis underexpansion. A brief review of the main topics was also made.]]></p></abstract>
