Breast cancer is one of the most lethal cancers in both sexes, trailing only lung, colorectal, liver, and stomach cancer. Multiple strategies have been offered to combat the occurrence. However, effective and side-effect-free medications are still required. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the immunomodulatory effects of the dietary combined herbs extract of Curcuma zedoaria (Christm.) Roscoe and Phyllanthus niruri L. against 7,12-Dimethylbenz(&#945;)anthrancene (DMBA)-induced carcinogenesis mouse model.  (Methodology) Six experimental groups were set, including a vehicle group, DMBA group, cisplatin treatment with a dose of 3 mg/kg BW, Cheral dose treatment of 1.233 mg/ kg BW, 2.466 mg/kg BW, and 4.923 mg/kg BW. Flow cytometry analysis of the expression number of M2 macrophages, T helper 17 cells, regulatory T cells, and B cells was performed.  (Results) Interestingly, in the present study, we found that the combination of C. zedoaria and P. niruri extract showed an ameliorative effect on DMBA-induced carcinogenesis mouse model by suppressing several immune cells, including M2 macrophages, T helper 17 cells, regulatory T cells, and B cells in the secondary lymphoid organ.  (Conclusion)  Thus, these results suggested that combining C. zedoaria and P. niruri extracts could be used for anti-cancer drug candidate development.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen  (Objetivo)  El cáncer es una de las principales causas de muerte y una de las mayores cargas para los sistemas de salud y las comunidades mundiales. El cáncer de mama es uno de los cánceres más letales en ambos sexos, solo superado por el cáncer de pulmón, colorrectal, hígado y estómago. Se han ofrecido múltiples estrategias para combatir la ocurrencia. Sin embargo, todavía se necesitan medicamentos eficaces y libres de efectos secundarios. En este estudio, nuestro objetivo fue evaluar los efectos inmunomoduladores del extracto dietético de hierbas combinadas de Curcuma zedoaria (Christm.) Roscoe y Phyllanthus niruri L. contra el modelo de ratón con carcinogénesis inducida por 7,12-dimetilbenzo(&#945;)antraceno (DMBA).  (Metodología)  Se establecieron seis grupos experimentales, incluido el grupo de vehículo, el grupo de DMBA, el tratamiento con cisplatino con una dosis de 3 mg/kg de peso corporal, el tratamiento con dosis de Cheral de 1,233 mg/kg de peso corporal, 2,466 mg/kg de peso corporal. peso corporal y 4,923 mg/kg peso corporal. Se ocupó el análisis de citometría de flujo hacia el número de expresión de macrófagos M2, células T auxiliares 17, células T reguladoras y células B. (Conclusión) Por lo tanto, estos resultados sugirieron que la combinación de extractos de C. zedoaria y P. niruri podrían usarse para el desarrollo de candidatos a fármacos contra el cáncer.]]></p></abstract>

O câncer de mama é um dos cânceres mais letais em ambos os sexos, superado apenas pelo câncer de pulmão, colorretal, fígado e estômago. Várias estratégias foramoferecidas para combater a ocorrência. No entanto, ainda são necessários medicamentos eficazes e sem efeitos colaterais. Neste estudo, nosso objetivo foi avaliar os efeitos imunomoduladores do extrato dietético herbal combinado de Curcuma zedoaria (Christm.) Roscoe e Phyllanthus niruri L. contra o modelo de camundongo com carcinogênese induzida por 7,12-dimetilbenzo(&#945;)antraceno (DMBA).  (Metodologia)  Foram estabelecidos seis grupos experimentais, incluindo o grupo veículo, o grupo DMBA, o tratamento com cisplatina em uma dose de 3 mg/kg de peso corporal, o tratamento com Cheral em doses de 1.233 mg/kg de peso corporal, 2.466 mg/kg de peso corporal e 4.923 mg/kg de peso corporal. A análise de citometria de fluxo foi realizada em relação ao número de expressão de macrófagos M2, células T-helper 17, células T reguladoras e células B.  (Resultados) Curiosamente, no presente estudo, descobriu-se que a combinação dos extratos de C. zedoaria e P. niruri mostrou um efeito benéfico no modelo de camundongo de carcinogênese induzida por DMBA, suprimindo várias células imunológicas, incluindo macrófagos M2, células T-helper 17 e células T reguladoras e células B no órgão linfoide secundário.
