(Metodología)  La especie en estudio fue identificada por análisis morfológicos y filogenéticos moleculares basados en el marcador ITS. Se evaluó la capacidad de domesticación de la especie mediante el cultivo en distintos sustratos de fácil disponibilidad, se cuantificó el contenido de compuestos fenólicos totales, actividad antirradicalaria DPPH&#8226; y se realizó el análisis proximal de los basidiomas producidos.  (Resultados)  La mezcla eucalipto-paja mostró rendimientos más altos de producción en un periodo de 45 días. La fracción de acetato de etilo presentó la mayor concentración de compuestos fenólicos (35.6 ± 2.6 mg GAE g-1) y actividad antirradicalaria DPPH&#8226; (13.6 ± 1.3 mg AAE g-1). En cuanto a la composición proximal, los basidiomas de F. rugulosus contienen 20 % de proteínas, 15.4 % de carbohidratos, 25.2 % de fibra alimentaria y 5.7 % de grasas.  (Conclusiones)  Con respecto al cultivo, la mezcla de aserrín de eucalipto y paja presentó los mayores rendimientos, eficiencia biológica y cantidad de oleadas. Los análisis de composición química y nutricional del basidioma cultivado revelan que F. rugulosus es un hongo comestible con potencial uso en la industria alimentaria, dado que es una fuente rica en proteínas, carbohidratos, fibra alimentaria y ácidos grasos esenciales.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  (Objective)  This study aimed to assess the production of basidiomata of Favolus rugulosus under controlled conditions in different mushroom-growing substrates and to analyze the proximate composition of cultivated basidiomata.  (Methodology)  The species was identified through morphological and molecular phylogenetic analyses based on the ITS marker. Its domestication potential was evaluated using various easy-access substrates. Total phenolic content and the antiradical activity against DPPH&#8226; were measured, and proximate content was assessed in cultivated basidiomata.  (Results)  The mixture of eucalyptus sawdust and straw yielded the highest production over a 45-day period, while the ethyl acetate fraction exhibited the highest concentration of phenolic compounds (35.6 ± 2.6 mg GAE g-1) and antiradical activity against DPPH&#8226; (13.6 ± 1.3 mg AAE g-1). In terms of proximate composition, F. rugulosus basidioma contains 20% protein, 15.4% carbohydrates, 25.2% dietary fiber, and 5.7% fat.
