La aplicación concreta de esta revisión es servir como pauta para diseñar proyectos de aprendizaje servicio que propicien el desarrollo de la competencia lingüística, y otras competencias profesionales, en el estudiantado de traducción de universidades chilenas. La recopilación se realizó en la base de datos Web of Science y consideró artículos publicados entre los años 2015 y 2020. Se llevó a cabo una revisión de contenido para seleccionar los artículos que dieran cuenta de trabajos de investigación empírica sobre la utilización de la estrategia. Se constituyó un corpus de 20 artículos y se elaboró una matriz de datos que facilitó el análisis sistemático. Los resultados dan cuenta del contexto general en el que se implementó la estrategia, el área de formación específica, la tarea de servicio realizada y los instrumentos utilizados para medir los efectos de la intervención. El análisis de los proyectos que involucraban modalidades de traducción permitió concluir que es posible relacionar eficientemente estas tareas con la entrega de algún servicio a la comunidad, que además contribuya al desarrollo de competencias lingüísticas, culturales y otras habilidades. Los efectos alcanzaron un nivel más profundo relacionado con la construcción de una nueva identidad profesional para tomar conciencia sobre la responsabilidad en la lucha contra las desigualdades. Se espera que esta recopilación bibliográfica contribuya a la construcción de una base conceptual que sustente el diseño de proyectos de servicio que generen efectos similares en el estudiantado de traducción en Chile. Estos proyectos podrían establecer relaciones de beneficio mutuo entre el alumnado y la comunidad.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This systematic review aims to establish the main characteristics of service-learning projects that were designed to develop professional linguistic competencies in translating undergraduates. The information collected will be used as a guideline for the design of service-learning projects that facilitate translation development in Chilean translating undergraduates. The information was taken from the Web of Science's database and includes published papers from 2015 to 2020. The papers' contents were reviewed in order to select empirical research studies about service-learning usage. 20 papers were selected and a data matrix was created to facilitate the systematic analysis of data sets. The results showed the context in which service-learning projects were implemented, the educational area, service tasks, and the instruments used to measure their effects on students. It can be concluded that translation tasks might be related to linguistic development and cultural competencies, among other abilities, in community service. The results also showed a correlation between students' motivation and the construction of a new professional identity that makes them aware of their role in the fight against inequality. This review aims to establish a theoretical foundation for the design of service projects that produce similar effects in Chilean translating undergraduates by building up beneficial relationships between students and the community.]]></p></abstract>
