El cultivo de naranja (Citrus sinensis (L.) Osb.) es uno de los de mayor importancia a nivel mundial. Dentro de las principales limitantes en su producción está la caída de flores ocasionada por Colletotrichum. Objetivo. Determinar las especies de Colletotrichum asociadas a la antracnosis en naranja y estimar la efectividad in vitro de cuatro fungicidas sobre su control. Materiales y métodos. Este estudio se llevó a cabo entre junio del 2021 y febrero del 2022. Seis aislamientos de hongos, obtenidos de tejidos florales de naranja, fueron identificados vía reacción en cadena de la polimerasa (PCR). Se evaluó la eficacia de los fungicidas tebuconazol, pyraclostrobin, difenoconazol y ferbam sobre dos aislamientos de Colletotrichum. Se realizaron dos ensayos para determinar el grado de inhibición del crecimiento micelial y el porcentaje de efectividad de cada fungicida. Resultados. Colletotrichum abscissum se identificó en pétalos con síntomas y Colletotrichum gloeosporioides en cálices. Se verificó la efectividad de la dosis empleada de los fungicidas tebuconazol y difenoconazol, al presentar inhibición del crecimiento micelial a partir de la décima parte de la dosis comercial evaluada. El pyraclostrobin demostró poco control sobre ambos aislados. El ferbam no presentó un control eficiente en ninguna de las dosis evaluadas en ambas cepas. Conclusión. Los hongos asociados a la antracnosis en naranja, en la finca estudiada, fueron C. abscissum, presente en pétalos con síntomas iniciales y avanzados, y C. gloeosporioides presente en cálices persistentes. La efectividad de los fungicidas evaluados fue mayor para los triazoles, tebuconazol y difenoconazol, en ese orden. El pyraclostrobin evidenció un control deficiente sobre ambos aislados. El ferbam resultó poco eficaz en las pruebas in vitro.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Introduction. Orange (Citrus sinensis (L.) Osb.) cultivation is one of the most important worldwide. Among the main limitations in its production is the fall of flowers caused by Colletotrichum. Objective. To determine the species of Colletotrichum associated with anthracnose in orange and to estimate the in vitro effectiveness of four fungicides on its control. Materials and methods. This study was carried out between June 2021 and February 2022. Six fungal isolates, obtained from orange floral tissues, were identified via polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The efficacy of the fungicides tebuconazole, pyraclostrobin, difenoconazole, and ferbam on two Colletotrichum isolates was evaluated. Two tests were carried out to determine the degree of inhibition of mycelial growth and the percentage of effectiveness of each fungicide. Results. Colletotrichum abscissum was identified on petals with symptoms and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides on calyxes. The effectiveness of the doses used of the fungicides tebuconazole and difenoconazole was verified by presenting inhibition of mycelial growth from a tenth of the commercial dose evaluated. Pyraclostrobin showed little control over both isolates. Ferbam did not present an efficient control in any of the doses evaluated in both strains. Conclusion. The fungi associated with anthracnose in orange, on the farm studied, were C. abscissum, present on petals with initial and advanced symptoms, and C. gloeosporioides present on persistent calyxes. The effectiveness of the fungicides evaluated was higher for triazoles, tebuconazole, and difenoconazole, in that order. Pyraclostrobin showed a poor control on both isolates. Ferbam was not effective in in vitro tests.]]></p></abstract>
