<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.sa.cr/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S1409-47032018000300575&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.sa.cr/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S1409-47032018000300575&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.sa.cr/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S1409-47032018000300575&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El artículo presenta los resultados de una investigación cualitativa, la cual tuvo por objetivo establecer las valoraciones preliminares que otorgan los titulados de la carrera de Psicología, de universidades de distinto grado de selectividad, a los ámbitos de la formación académica recibida y su relación con la inserción laboral. El trabajo se inscribe en el marco de una necesaria evaluación del grado de equidad del sistema universitario chileno en relación con los resultados del proceso formativo. Desde una perspectiva cualitativa, y bajo el marco de un estudio de casos en profundidad, se recabaron las percepciones de los titulados mediante seis entrevistas en profundidad desarrolladas en el año 2015 con profesionales graduados entre los años 2011 y 2014. La muestra de personas entrevistadas, de carácter intencionado, se seleccionó combinando criterios de caso tipo, cuotas, cadena y voluntariedad. Los datos se analizaron con el apoyo del software Atlas Ti 8 a fin de identificar categorías y las relaciones entre ellas. La principal conclusión es que tanto la formación académica recibida como el proceso de inserción al mundo del trabajo es mejor valorado por los graduados de la universidad de alta selectividad, mientras que los profesionales egresados de las universidades de mediana y baja selectividad ponderan de manera más crítica dichos aspectos. Por su parte, cuanto más selectiva es la universidad, más se percibe un incremento en las oportunidades de las personas tituladas en el mundo laboral, situación que revela la presencia de aspectos no académicos que influyen en la inserción laboral. Lo anterior deriva en posibles situaciones de inequidad en los resultados de la formación universitaria en Psicología.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The article presents the results of a qualitative research that aimed to establish preliminary valuations granted by the graduates of the Psychology program from universities of different degrees of selectivity, to the fields of academic training received and their relationship with the insertion in the labor market. The work is part of a necessary evaluation of the degree of equity of the Chilean university system concerning to the results of the training process. From a qualitative perspective, and under the framework of an in-depth case study, graduates` perceptions were collected through six in-depth interviews conducted in 2015 with professionals graduated between 2011 and 2014. The sample of interviewees, of an intentional nature, was selected by combining criteria of type case, quotas, chain and voluntariness. The data was analyzed with the support of the Atlas Ti 8 software in order to identify categories and the relationships between them. The main conclusion is that both the academic training received and the process of insertion into the labor market is better valued by the graduates of the high selective university while the professionals graduated from the universities of medium and low selectivity weigh those aspects more critically. On the other hand, the more selective the university is, the higher the opportunities of the graduates in the labor world, a situation that reveals the presence of non-academic aspects that influence the labor insertion. This could be originating possible situations of inequity in the results of university training in Psychology programs.]]></p></abstract>
