En la actualidad, la presencia en los centros educativos y en ámbitos no formales de la educación sexual es constatable. Este tipo de formación ha evolucionado en las últimas décadas, tanto en su enfoque, como en su metodología; conviviendo distintos modelos sobre la misma (López Sánchez, 2005).  Objetivo. Revisar y analizar programas de educación sexual destinados a adolescentes en diferentes países, así como las acciones formativas más representativas en España.  Análisis . Revisión sistemática de programas mediante el modelo de Barbosa Chacón et al. (2013), en la que se analizan 16 programas (4 Internacionales, y 12 nacionales) desarrollados en el periodo comprendido entre 1992 y 2016. La búsqueda bibliográfica se ha realizado tanto en bases de datos científicas como en páginas Web de organismos oficiales, comunidades autónomas, entidades y grupos de trabajo de referencia.  Resultados.  Entre los principales hallazgos destacan la coexistencia de diversos enfoques de educación sexual como el modelo biográfico-profesional, el modelo de riesgos, el modelo para la abstinencia o el Comprehensive Sex Education, siendo mayor la eficacia de aquellos programas que abordan la sexualidad desde una perspectiva holística.  Conclusiones . La educación sexual debe integrarse en el currículo, ofreciendo una visión integral de la sexualidad que incluya los aspectos psicosociales, la diversidad sexual y la igualdad de género. Es necesaria una evaluación rigurosa (cuantitativa y cualitativa) de todos los aspectos incluidos en los programas para demostrar la eficacia de la educación sexual y descubrir aquellas cuestiones que resultan claves para su impartición.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Introduction.  Nowadays, sex education in schools and non-formal settings is evident. This type of education has evolved in recent decades in its approach and methodology, with different models coexisting (López Sánchez, 2005).  Objective.  To review and analyze sex education programs for adolescents in different countries and the most representative interventions in Spain.  Analysis.  A systematic review of programs using the model of Barbosa Chacón et al. (2013), in which 16 programs (4 international and 12 national) developed between 1992 and 2016, were analyzed. The bibliographic search was performed in scientific databases and on websites of Official Organizations, Autonomous Communities, entities, and reference working groups.  Results.  Among the main findings, the coexistence of different sex education approaches such as the biographical-professional model, the risk model, the model for abstinence, or the Comprehensive Sex Education stands out, being greater the effectiveness of those programs that address sexuality from a holistic perspective.  Conclusions.  Sex education should be integrated into the curriculum, offering a comprehensive view of sexuality that includes psychosocial aspects, sexual diversity, and gender equality. A rigorous evaluation (quantitative and qualitative) of all the aspects included in the programs is necessary to demonstrate the effectiveness of sex education and discover the key issues to its delivery.]]></p></abstract>

Este tipo de formação tem evoluído nas últimas décadas, tanto na sua abordagem como na sua metodologia, coexistindo diferentes modelos (López Sánchez, 2005).  Objetivo.  Revisar e analisar programas de educação sexual dirigidos a adolescentes em diferentes países, bem como as ações de formação mais representativas na Espanha.  Análise.  Revisão sistemática dos programas utilizando o modelo de Barbosa Chacón et al. (2013), no qual são analisados 16 programas (4 internacionais, e 12 nacionais) desenvolvidos no período entre 1992 e 2016. A pesquisa bibliográfica foi realizada tanto em bases de dados científicos como nos sítios Web dos Organismos Oficiais, Comunidades Autônomas, entidades e grupos de trabalho de referência.  Resultados.  As principais conclusões incluem a coexistência de diferentes abordagens à educação sexual, tais como o modelo biográfico-profissional, o modelo de risco, o modelo para a abstinência ou a Educação Sexual Integral, sendo maior a eficácia dos programas que abordam a sexualidade a partir de uma perspectiva holística.  Conclusões.  A educação sexual deve ser integrada no currículo, oferecendo uma visão abrangente da sexualidade que inclua aspectos psicossociais, diversidade sexual e igualdade de gênero. Uma avaliação rigorosa (quantitativa e qualitativa) de todos os aspectos incluídos nos programas é necessária para demonstrar a eficácia da educação sexual e descobrir as questões que são fundamentais para a sua entrega.]]></p></abstract>
