Actualmente, hay muchos estudios preclínicos y clínicos que usan estas células para determinar el efecto clínico en heridas de la piel, lesiones de la médula espinal, infarto de miocardio, entre otros, con resultados prometedores. En este estudio, se extrajo una pequeña muestra de tejido adiposo del pliegue inguinal de ratones y se obtuvo la fracción vascular estromal. Luego, esta se cultivó in vitro para promover la adhesión y expansión de ASC. Se analizó la cinética de crecimiento, la expresión de marcadores de células madre y el potencial de diferenciación. Las células madre aisladas mostraron una cinética de crecimiento similar a la reportada en la literatura. El treinta por ciento de las células analizadas fueron positivas para los marcadores de células madre y pudieron diferenciarse en linajes adipogénicos, condrogénicos y osteogénicos. El protocolo probado en este trabajo permitió aislar células madre derivadas de tejido adiposo de una muestra muy pequeña que cumplía con casi todos los criterios establecidos por la Sociedad Internacional de Terapia Celular y Genética, dando lugar a investigaciones futuras para establecer este tejido como una excelente fuente de células madre y el desarrollo de terapias alternativas para el tratamiento de heridas en la piel.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Adipose-derived stem cells are being investigated for tissue repair because of their multidifferentiation potential and secreted growth factors as well as cytokines. Currently, there is a lot of preclinical and clinical studies that use these cells to determine the clinical effect in skin wounds, spinal cord injuries, myocardial infarction among others with promising results. In this study, a small sample of adipose tissue was extracted from mice inguinal pad and the stromal vascular fraction was obtained. Then, it was cultivated in vitro in order to promote ASC adhesion and expansion. Growth kinetics, stem cell markers expression and differentiation potential were analyzed. The isolated stem cells showed similar growth kinetics as reported in literature. Thirty percent of analyzed cells were positive for the stem cell markers and they were able to differentiate in adipogenic, chondrogenic and osteogenic lineages. The protocol proven in this work allowed to isolate adipose-derived stem cells from a very small sample that met almost all the criteria established by the International Society for Cell and Gene Therapy, giving rise to future research for stablish this tissue as an excellent source of stem cells and the development of alternative therapies to the treatment of skin wounds.]]></p></abstract>
