Bibliografías sobre medicina forense

En la Medicina Forense, como en todo campo científico, es de suma importancia para las organizaciones, los profesionales y los técnicos que tienen relación directa o indirecta con este sector, el estar actualizados en cuanto a los últimos avances, técnicas, investigaciones e información ya sea escrita o computadorizada.

Sin embargo, son muchas las investigaciones publicadas en forma dispersa y muy poco el tiempo que tienen los especialistas para la obtención de información.

Uno de los métodos más adecuados para obtener la información de una manera rápida, eficiente y confiable es haciendo uso de bibliografías especializadas. Éstas se ordenan de acuerdo con sistemas internacionales. Para elaborarlas se requiere:

1. Seleccionar cuidadosamente el tema y subtema.

2. Revisar fuentes automatizadas como MEDLINE, LILACS, BITNET Y DIALOG, o tradicionales como las tituladas INDEX, ABSTRACTS Y ADVANCES.

3. Corroborar la pertinencia y actualidad (a menudo los dos o tres años más recientes).

4. Uniformar el formato.

5. Ordenarlas alfabéticamente.

6. Agregar ¨listas de revistas¨con los nombres sin abreviar.

Así, la elaboración de tales bibliografías requiere una labor profesional.
Consideramos que sería de muchísima utilidad a todos los especialistas en este campo y profesionales relacionados, el contar con bibliografías especializadas y actualizadas sobre temas específicos. Por ellos se inicia aquí una serie.
Esta es la primera parte de una bibliografía sobre el controversial tema de ´MUERTE SÚBITA´, que esperamos sea de utilidad a los distinguidos lectores de la Revista de Medicina Legal.
