Abstract

MIRANDA ROCAMORA, María del Pilar  and  GALLOR GUARIN, Jorge Orlando. Continuidad de los parques: Fantastic elements and fusion of possible worlds. Káñina [online]. 2021, vol.45, n.3, pp.187-202. ISSN 2215-2636.  http://dx.doi.org/10.15517/rk.v45i3.49588.

The present work analyzes a classic story of the Latin American brief narrative and suggests one of the possible readings offered by the text. This reading will be based on two defined and complementary approaches. The first one is the analysis that the theory of the Possible Worlds allows us to make, and the second one considers one of the values that Julio Cortázar most appreciated in his reader, our fantasy, delimited in this case by the short story, which lets us take part in it as readers-accomplices.

Keywords : Julio Cortázar; Continuidad de los parques; world models; reader-accomplice; fantasy.
