Abstract
CAMPOS VARGAS, Henry. Participles as nouns and lexical fons from latin language to spanish. Káñina [online]. 2016, vol.40, suppl.1, pp.59-63. ISSN 2215-2636. http://dx.doi.org/10.15517/rk.v40i3.28601.
This paper shows how many passive Latin adjectives go through Spanish language by two phenomena: as nouns and less its passive sense.
On base of the words of the letter “v” in the Nuevo diccionario etimológico Latín-Estañol y de las voces derivadas of Santiago Segura Munguía, it was made a corpus of substantives with these properties, this shows how important is this process in order to increase the Latin vocabulary and, from this language to the Spanish.
Keywords : Vulgar Latin; Classical Latin; Romance Languages; linguistic evolution; passive participle.
