ALOY, Jorge Omar. Conditions of possibility of Kurt Vonnegut to build the fictional discourse about massacre at Dresden in Slaughterhouse-Five. Káñina [online]. 2016, vol.40, n.1, pp.26-32. ISSN 2215-2636. http://dx.doi.org/10.15517/rk.v40i1.24138.
It took twenty four years to Kurt Vonnegut, the American writer who survived the Massacre at Dresden, to vanquish silence and include that slaughter in a novel: Slaughterhouse-Five. What had happened? Why could not he turn that massacre into a fictional text? In this work we are going to review what conditions of possibility had Vonnegut to impose himself upon this denial. To do that, we will take into account, besides his previous works, the social political context of production and reception of literature in the late 60s.
