Abstract

CASTRO SOLANO, Rosemary. Utopian way of happinism: Exploring "A Women´s country" by Gioconda Belli (2010). Káñina [online]. 2016, vol.40, n.1, pp.19-25. ISSN 2215-2636.  http://dx.doi.org/10.15517/rk.v40i1.24136.

This article analyzes the work "A Women's Country" (Gioconda Belli, 2010) from the theoretical perspective of feminism and from a political communication insight. To do so, a deconstruction of "happinism" ('felicismo') as an expression of femininity conceived to be a vehicle of resilience is provided as framework for analysis. Furthermore, from a political communication insight, both a characterization of the actions of the PIE (Partido de la Izquierda Erótica, in Spanish) from the communicative action notion as in Habermas, as well as an assessment from the critical perspective of the political communication actions proposed by the author are offered.

Keywords : Feminism; happinism; femininity; political communication; critical perspective.
