Abstract

In the context of the centenary of the University Reform of Córdoba 1918-2018, this study is based on the main approaches to university autonomy discussed in the Latin American academic field. From a summary analysis of this subject, the fields of university autonomy are characterized, interpreted and explained as a democratic pillar, legal space of differentiated power and the manifestation of Latin American public universities as social actors present in a century full of political experiences around the constitution, continuity, challenges and defense of university autonomy.
